\"Indiana<\/a>Yet another update…….During my recent travels to Niagara I picked up this 52 ounce pitcher. \u00a0I have recently discovered an interest in pitchers. \u00a0This one is very heavy. \u00a0Unfortunately I neglected to find the flake\/chip on the inside rim. \u00a0How I missed it, I don’t know. \u00a0If I can rediscover the location of the goblets, this will still make a nice Sangria set for someone!<\/p>\n

I\u00a0just bought this marvelous resource – a CD-ROM of Indiana Glass Patterns by Donna Adler. \u00a0A huge amount of information on this disk. \u00a0I learned a little more about this pattern. \u00a0First the name – I thought it was simply amber Diamond Point. \u00a0But the addition of the gold band gave it a different name. \u00a0According to Ms. Adler the pattern was introduced in 1965. \u00a0She says that it was one of Indiana’s most popular patterns and that the ruby band was likely the most popular of its many colours. \u00a0Interesting!<\/p>\n

Very common. \u00a0Not so dainty, but attractive in its own right. \u00a0I bought 4 wine glasses at a local flea market. \u00a0They are not my usual ‘thing’ but the gold flashing was unblemished and very shiny. \u00a0Appealed to the magpie in me. \u00a0I don’t know much about these. \u00a0Made in the U.S. \u00a0I’ve read that they were introduced in the mid-1960s and produced until the ’80s. \u00a0Pretty common in a variety of colours. \u00a0I think the amber is very manly.<\/p>\n
