I love it when I can go back and repeat a posting with a creditable identification. \u00a0I was browsing ebay, checking out Moser glass. \u00a0I went from Moser to Lobmeyer to Baccarat. \u00a0As I was scrolling through Baccarat listings, I saw THIS, THIS, THIS! \u00a0It is a Baccarat piece that is over 100 years old! \u00a0Discontinued in 1900. \u00a0I am so pleased to have determined its provenance.<\/p>\n

A couple weeks ago we were\"\"<\/a> in Waterloo for the weekend. \u00a0We always make a point of heading to the thrift shops of any town that we visit. \u00a0 \u00a0I came across two of these sherberts. \u00a0They are very, very striking. \u00a0I’ve not seen this etch anywhere – no sense of familiarity at all. \u00a0I’ve tried to take photos at a few different angles in order to capture the etch \"\"<\/a>at the bottom of the glass, as well as the pattern along the rim. \u00a0The rim etch is quite lovely as well. \u00a0Initially I thought that they might be Fostoria’s Chateau etch – but no luck. \u00a0I would love to have these identified.<\/p>\n

I have taken to leaving the price tags on pieces. \u00a0I am terrible at keeping good records on the items that I own. \u00a0Having this blog has helped\"\"<\/a> me to keep a photographic record, but I am terrible at keeping the details on the prices. \u00a0When I sell anything I never intend to make a pile of profit. \u00a0However….I don’t want to lose money either. \u00a0I definitely will know that I paid two dollars for these two gorgeous pieces.<\/p>\n
