News Flash – a knowledgeable Elegant and Everyday Glass Forum participant gave me the following information – “Its a well known Czech vase often found with a fake R. Lalique signature. Its called the Doves vase & comes in two styles, the one you have & one thats similar to the small Tiffin Poppy vase.”<\/p>\n

I’ve been looking for more information, so far to no avail. \u00a0It’s great that I didn’t pay a great deal of money for this. \u00a0It’s pretty and I will still enjoy using it. \u00a0Wouldn’t it have been fab to have found a Lalique though????<\/p>\n

Yesterday morning I was looking at a photo of the most beautiful covered jar called Hummingbird with Roses by Consolidated Lamp & Glass<\/p>\n

Company. \u00a0Later in the day we went out to Orono as the shops were holding an Antique and Art festival. \u00a0Too bad it rained! \u00a0Nonetheless we wandered about and I came across this beautiful vase in the style of the jar.<\/p>\n

The price tag was marked Tiffin and there were no markings on the vase. \u00a0\"\"<\/a>I bought it knowing that it was an “unknown” as it is very beautiful and different.<\/p>\n

I have posted it on the Elegant and Everyday Glass Forum<\/a>\u00a0and asked for “Help!” \u00a0A responder said that it is not Consolidated, Phoenix or Gillinder. \u00a0He thinks it may be European. \u00a0I will continue to look as it is very interesting. \u00a0But as always…if anyone knows, please share.<\/p>\n
