You can find this piece on ebay in a number of colours – olive green, clear, amber, amber with Carnival tones, etc. \u00a0Generally vendors say that it is an early 1930s piece. \u00a0 But in this colour it would appear more recent than that date.<\/div>\n

“This appears to be a very early pattern for the \u00a0Indiana Glass Company\u00a0because of the number #8, which you will often see following the name, Killarney.<\/div>\n

So named by collectors because of its similarity to the Celtic cross.\u00a0 In some of the older catalogs you may find this pattern listed as part of the Narcissus Spray #162 pattern.<\/div>\n

\u00a0When Killarney was originally presented to the public is a bit of a mystery….only in crystal.\u00a0 Records state that Indiana Glass “reissued” this pattern in crystal beginning in the late 1950s, therefore we know it was prior to that time.\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Killarney appeared in amber, olive green and iridescent gold and a frosted beginning in the early 1960s.” \u00a0This information is also verified at the Carnival Heaven<\/a> site.<\/div>\n

It’s a sturdy, pretty piece regardless. \u00a0I am posting photos with (1st photo) and without (2nd) the use of the camera’s flash. \u00a0Can’t quite do the piece justice.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
