Pretty in pink.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>___________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>October 8, 2012 Posting<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1777\" alt=\"Swan 3\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-3-300x198.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-3-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-3-1024x676.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I bought this pretty green piece with the swan handles yesterday in Colborne. \u00a0Didn&#8217;t know anything about it, but figured that my mom will like it as she collects swans.<\/p>\n<p>At the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chataboutdg.com\">Elegant and Everyday Glass Forum<\/a> online\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/chataboutdg.com\/gallery\/img17129.search.htm\" target=\"_blank\">gallery<\/a>\u00a0I found my swan. \u00a0It is identified as a piece of Diamond Glass-Ware. \u00a0The description mentioned that Fenton later acquired the molds for the blank. \u00a0I have posted a question \u00a0as to how to distinguish the Diamond pieces from Fenton pieces. \u00a0I&#8217;ll see if I receive any information.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d not even heard of Diamond Glass-Ware before so I turned to the <a href=\"http:\/\/estatesalestore.com\/gallery2\/main.php?g2_itemId=4354\" target=\"_blank\">Glass Lover&#8217;s Database<\/a> for some information. \u00a0This is what I found&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>&#8220;Diamond Glass-Ware Company<\/h2>\n<p>Dugan-Diamond Glass Company. Dugan Glass begins its history as the Indiana Glass Company, operating from Indiana, Pennsylvania, from 1892 to 1896.<\/p>\n<p>In 1896 Harry Northwood, accompanied by Samuel Dugan and his three sons (Thomas E.A., Alfred and Samuel Jr.), took over the company, which changed its name to Northwood.<a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1776\" title=\"Swan 2\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-2-300x171.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-2-300x171.jpg 300w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-2-1024x585.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From 1900 to 1903 it was known as the National Glass Company, under the direction of Harry Bastow and Thomas E.A. Dugan.<\/p>\n<p>From 1904 to 1909, it was called the Dugan Glass Company, creating the\u00a0<strong>Diamond-D<\/strong>\u00a0mark for some of its pressed ware, most notably, Carnival glass.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1775\" title=\"Swan 1\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-1-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Swan-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Finally, from 1913 to its closing in 1931 due to a plant fire, it was known as the Diamond Glass Company.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is a pretty piece regardless of who has made it. \u00a0Hope my mom likes it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0;float:none;height:100px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?p=1779\" send=\"true\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A recent purchase.
