<a href=\"http:\/\/antiques.about.com\/od\/artglass\/a\/aa030701.htm\">Unraveling the Mystery of Mary Gregory Glassware:The Lady and Her Glass Decorating Legend<\/a> by Pamela Wiggins &#8211; to gauge its age.<\/p>\n<p>You see &#8220;Mary Gregory&#8221; glass frequently and in very pretty colours.\u00a0 I really have no sense of the age, or value of pieces, so no longer purchase them.\u00a0 But no denying that some of them are pretty.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>November 24, 2012<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1926\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-1-237x300.jpg\" alt=\"Mary Gregory 1\" width=\"237\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-1-237x300.jpg 237w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-1-810x1024.jpg 810w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-1.jpg 1942w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 237px) 100vw, 237px\" \/><\/a>We went out to an auction last night. \u00a0There were many pieces of Mary Gregory in cranberry, blue, green, amber and clear. \u00a0All types of pieces in various hues.<a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1927\" title=\"Mary Gregory 2\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I did some online research on recognizing older pieces and how to identify reproductions.<\/p>\n<p>No guarantees I guess, but I am pleased with this piece and hope that I made the right choice as I didn&#8217;t want a repro.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1929\" title=\"Mary Gregory 4\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Mary-Gregory-4-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>I really liked the blue and green colours, but all my reading said that the cranberry was the most valuable. \u00a0I did try to get a couple vases, but they went for more than I was willing to pay.<\/p>\n<p>Very pretty.<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0;float:none;height:100px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?p=1930\" send=\"true\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
