\"Fostoria<\/a>Came across four or five of these sherberts during our recent U.S. road trip. \u00a0I still don’t understand why this etch has remained so popular. \u00a0It’s nice enough, but ‘meh’ I have seen, and own, etched pieces that are much more appealing to me.<\/p>\n

In fact I marvel at what I post to sell and what actually sells. \u00a0I have pieces that I can never understand why they haven’t been snatched up. \u00a0Unique and attractive. \u00a0I just figure there beauty doesn’t translate well though photography and has to be seen ‘live’. \u00a0Oh well. \u00a0More time for me to admire them.<\/p>\n

As a side note. \u00a0We did stop in at the Deseronto Antique Market on our way back. \u00a0In fact this was our last shop stop. \u00a0That is where I bought my Greensburg ashtray. \u00a0Also picked up some amber luncheon plates which I haven’t done anything with yet. \u00a0I wonder where they are? \u00a0The shop had a fair number of pieces of glass. \u00a0Prices were quite high, in my opinion, for some pieces and reasonable for others. \u00a0Nice place to check out though –\u00a0Karen Brown’s Antiques & Collectibles,\u00a0Karen Brown’s Antiques & Collectibles, \u00a0501 Dundas,\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/span>Deseronto, ON<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Fostoria<\/a>I had a great day today! \u00a0Wandered off to an auction in Brighton. \u00a0I picked up a few items there, not as much as I had hoped. \u00a0Actually the best item I bought isn’t glass. \u00a0I bought the most beautiful Cauldon, England handpainted Botanical platter (14 inches). \u00a0I have likely mentioned that I don’t restrict my acquisitions to glass only!<\/p>\n

I stopped at the antique store in Colborne. \u00a0It’s just south of the 401. \u00a0They have many new vendors in there and have reorganized. \u00a0It was great! \u00a0I bought some stems in there. \u00a0Don’t know what they are, but they are G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!! \u00a0I’m going to try to identify them before I put them online.<\/p>\n

Side note. \u00a0I chatted with a lady who told me that a new antique shop is opening in Deseronto on January 15th (I think).<\/p>\n

\"Fostoria<\/a>I knew I recognized this etch (but at my age, couldn’t bring up the name!!!!!). \u00a0It’s Fostoria’s Navarre. \u00a0I’ve posted a stem way back when, but thought I’d put this up as well.<\/p>\n

Navarre is a bittersweet memory. \u00a0The sale of Navarre brandy snifters is the only time that an ebay buyer took advantage of me and I lost a pile of money…long story and a couple years ago, but I’m obviously still bitter!<\/p>\n

Dainty little piece. \u00a0I’m trying to identify the other new purchases before I post.<\/p>\n
