These stems are long gone, but it was only today that I came across an attribution.\u00a0 Appears that they were made in the ’70s by a company names Thomas Crystal, possibly from Germany.<\/p>\n

Don’t know anything about the company but I think that the pattern name is Baccus.<\/p>\n

Amazing how you can come across something.\u00a0 Good excuse to be online!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately I am no closer to identifying this stem, but….I recently came across one additional blank (on the left) with the same details on the stem. \u00a0I think that this is a wine glass (beside the original sherbert). \u00a0Same thin glass, without flaws. \u00a0Still love to know the origin.<\/p>\n

These are pretty cool stems – I have four. \u00a0Different from anything else I own, and normally I wouldn’t give them a second look…..but obviously I did and I am glad I did.<\/p>\n

I am guessing that they are sherberts\/ice cream dishes, but of course they can be used for anything you want. \u00a0They stand 4 7\/8 inches tall with openings of 3 3\/4 inches.<\/p>\n

\"Unknown<\/a>The stem\/base is decorated with hobnails, flowers and what appears to be oak leaves. \u00a0The stem is solid which makes the glass relatively heavy, and stable on a table. \u00a0Tee hee.<\/p>\n

The bowl is a lovely shape. \u00a0Even though the ‘pinging’ of the bowl doesn’t really mean anything, I always ‘ping’ mine. \u00a0This has a gorgeous tone.<\/p>\n

I am guessing that I will never find anything out about these glasses. \"Unknown<\/a><\/p>\n

I often wonder how the rims of old sherberts have remained intact with spoons being banged against them. \u00a0I figure that no one ever actually used them for desserts, just for drinking out of, or for display.<\/p>\n

No idea how old these might be. \u00a0Guessing (wildly) 1940s-1960s.<\/p>\n
