{"id":2377,"date":"2015-05-23T03:33:53","date_gmt":"2015-05-23T07:33:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?p=2377"},"modified":"2015-05-23T12:48:44","modified_gmt":"2015-05-23T16:48:44","slug":"blue-and-white","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?p=2377","title":{"rendered":"New (Old Bowls) Update to &#8211; Blue and White"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_3588.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3888\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_3588-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3588\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" \/><\/a>Hard to believe that it has already been two years since this happened.\u00a0 Where does the time go?<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out I had a nice visit with my daughter last month.\u00a0 She served some snacks and I noticed that she used her blue bowl and some blue and white Pyrex plates that I had bought for her some time ago.\u00a0 In fact&#8230;I think they were my very first Etsy purchase!\u00a0 History in the making.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway&#8230;.when we were rummaging around shops in Florida I came across these little Pyrex bowls, made by Corning.\u00a0 They seem to be the match for the plates I got her, so I had to pick them up.\u00a0 They are small&#8230;only 5 1\/2 inches in diameter.\u00a0 I imagine that they are &#8216;berry bowls&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>I actually dragged them out (haven&#8217;t gotten them to her yet) last weekend and used them on the table with my own &#8216;blue&#8217; bowls.\u00a0 They are a great size for dips, flavoured butters and odds and sods!<\/p>\n<p>If she doesn&#8217;t like them, they won&#8217;t be hard to keep.<\/p>\n<p>______________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>Original Post &#8211; April 5, 2013<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/0101.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2372\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/0101-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"010\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/0101-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/0101-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>My eldest daughter asked me to buy her white and turquoise Pyrex dishes a couple years ago. \u00a0Last Christmas she asked for blue Le Creuset mugs. \u00a0While I am not a trained investigator, I discerned a pattern. \u00a0So&#8230;.I have been picking up various blue and white pieces for her.<\/p>\n<p>My son was home for a quick Easter visit and I got him to take these pieces up to his sister. \u00a0I liked the colours so I thought I&#8217;d snap this photo. \u00a0The two Libbey glasses and the Pyrex bowls.<\/p>\n<p>My son brings back my car tomorrow. \u00a0We will be en route to Cuba, so I won&#8217;t know for a week if he has brought back any, or all, of these pieces.<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0;float:none;height:100px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?p=2377\" send=\"true\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hard to believe that it has already been two years since this happened.\u00a0 Where does the time go?
