\"Farberware\"<\/a>I have seen these glasses around. \u00a0Some time ago I saw four in a Salvation Army. I didn’t buy them and I have regretted it ever since. \u00a0I saw these recently and decided to pick them up.<\/p>\n

I thought that they were called Farberware. \u00a0But Farberware is the name of products made by the S.W. Farber Company. \u00a0Mr. Simon Farber had two brothers who had their own company called Farber Brothers. \u00a0They made glasses that are very similar to the ones shown here. \u00a0For awhile I thought they had been made by Farber Brothers.<\/p>\n

But two very interesting guides on ebay –\u00a0Farber Bros Vs. Farberware<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Farber Bros Vs.United Chromium<\/a>\u00a0written by martinisandmore<\/a>\u00a0would lead me to believe that the metal pedestals of these glasses were made by United Chromium with the glass inserts by Morgantown.\"Farberware<\/a><\/p>\n

Farber Brothers used glass inserts by Cambridge Glass.<\/p>\n

The interesting thing is that the inserts come off. \u00a0I don’t know the reasoning for that – perhaps to clean. \u00a0When I read that, I had to of course try to pull them apart. Hence the photo!<\/p>\n

If you search the Internet for Farberware or Farber Brothers you will see lots of barware. \u00a0Some of it is quite attractive, although this isn’t something I would collect.<\/p>\n
