I have been so lucky to add these two bowls to my collection.\u00a0 The first one, in Tuscan pink, came courtesy of Mr. Lynn Welker of Margaret Lane Antiques in New Concord, OH.\u00a0 He was nice enough to take my name and contct information and le tme know when he had one in stock.<\/p>\n

The Emerald Green one came from an ebay seller.<\/p>\n

These two colours have been on my bucket list for ages.\u00a0 I am thrilled to own them.\u00a0 Don’t know if I will be fortunate enough to see one if Forest Green or in Royal Blue.\u00a0 I let a forest green one go by years ago and I am still kicking myself!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I sold the clear bowl some time ago to a lady who owned a farm and had a flock of sheep.\u00a0 I loved that story.\u00a0 I swore up and down that I was only going to collect coloured bowls.\u00a0 But……\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I saw this pretty bowl with the lovely #763 Minerva etching and the gilt and rationalized that the ‘gold’ was a colour.\u00a0 But this \"\"<\/a>really is the only crystal one I am going to acquire.\u00a0 (I hope).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>While I am still looking for colours in line 432 I did come across this pretty amber piece – line 3500\/27.<\/p>\n

Almost had a line on a Tuscan bowl in line 3500\/25 but I misunderstood the rules of the live online auction and it was sold to some other lucky collector!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This one is line 3500\/26.\u00a0I don’t know for sure what shade of blue this is. \u00a0Cambridge made a number of different transparent blues. \u00a0I am guessing that this is ‘Willow Blue’….but don’t know for sure.<\/p>\n

Woo hoo…..I finally acquired a bowl in Helio.\u00a0 I have seen a few of these online and while I never was able to justify the cost of buying another, I just bought it.\u00a0 If I had to wait to justify it, it would never have been purchased.\"Cambridge<\/a><\/p>\n

According to the book Colors in Cambridge Glass II by the National Cambridge Collectors, Inc. Helio was introduced in January 1923.\u00a0 The book goes on to day that Helio was likely only produced for two years.\u00a0 So this piece was made in 1924 at the latest.<\/p>\n

Obtaining bowls in the colours\u00a0 I don’t own will be more difficult.\u00a0 I have seen the Tuscan bowl advertised at an online auction, but have never seen any other colours for sale online or in person.\u00a0 I’d love to get them in the ebony and the ivory (at least).<\/p>\n

Last one, so far…….This is the jade with gold details. \u00a0The colour isn’t well reproduced here, but it is lovely.<\/p>\n

I am looking for one in ebony. \u00a0Haven’t come across one. \u00a0I let one in helio (pinky\/purple) ‘get’ away. \u00a0Still cross about it!<\/p>\n

I bought one Rams Head single candle holder in the Tuscan pink. \u00a0Unfortunately, due to complete idiocy, I had it sent to my daughter’s house – 2,000 miles away. \u00a0I am visiting in June and am looking forward to picking it up.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_3200\"<\/a>I added to my rams head bowl collection recently. \u00a0Another bowl – line #3500\/432. \u00a0This piece is Cambridge’s Azurite colour.<\/p>\n

\"002\"<\/a>This pretty cobalt (Aurora Jewels) console set was made by Imperial Glass. \u00a0The bowl has Imperial’s “IG” signature. \u00a0Imperial bought the moulds from Cambridge, when it closed, in the 1960s. \u00a0Imperial only made the set in cobalt.<\/p>\n

\"Cambridge<\/a>I have recently added a few ram’s head items to my collections. \u00a0I have some thoughts about accumulating them for awhile and just displaying them in my office.<\/p>\n

I don’t know why I find them so interesting. \u00a0The details aren’t pretty. \u00a0In fact they are somewhat ominous. \u00a0But….I like them. \u00a0\"Cambridge<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Cambridge<\/a>I have long longed for a Rams Head Bowl. \u00a0Over the years I have coveted them in azurite (absolutely gorgeous) or in crystal with an etch of some sort. \u00a0The first one I saw had Fostoria’s Elaine etch. \u00a0But they were just too darned expensive.<\/p>\n

Recently I came across this piece online on Etsy. \u00a0I ‘favourited it”, but never really entertained any thoughts of buying it.<\/p>\n

A couple weeks ago I was reading an article in the newspaper that spoke about people buying gifts for themselves at Christmas time. \"Cambridge<\/a>The suggestion was that folks are getting over their guilt at treating themselves when they are shopping for others. Obviously this is quite true as I took possession of this bowl yesterday. \u00a0I am glad I did!<\/p>\n

This is what Russell Vogelsand said in an 1978 article called Cambridge Rubina<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“This fine color line of Cambridge Glass was introduced to the public January 25, 1925.<\/p>\n

The new glass is not one color, but a natural three or more tone glass, in \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0which the predominating shades are red, green and blue. Each tone is \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0diverging into the other.”<\/p>\n

I wanted to show how the colours blend so I took photos from the different angles, including a look at the base.\"Cambridge<\/a><\/p>\n

I gather these pieces are not plentiful and that the rams head bowl is rare to find. \u00a0I consider myself lucky. \u00a0It is gorgeous and at least at this point in time, is a keeper.<\/p>\n
