\"006\"<\/a>Yet another one. \u00a0This is a little frog. \u00a0It is marked “Made in England”. \u00a0With all the frogs that you see in shops that were likely made in the U.S., I have to wonder why they were imported from Europe!<\/p>\n

Pretty amber colour.<\/p>\n

\"Carnival<\/a>My favourite local antique store – Under the Toad Stool had this carnival flower frog. I saw this in April, but didn’t buy it. \u00a0Off I went to Florida and thought about it for two weeks. \u00a0When I got home I headed to the shop to see if it was still there. \u00a0Lo and behold it was. \u00a0\"Carnival<\/a>I hadn’t bought it at first sight as it has some chips on the bottom. \u00a0But….for some reason, I just had to have it.<\/p>\n

It has very pretty Carnival shades. \u00a0I wish I knew more about these pieces.<\/p>\n

\"Flower<\/a>There are flower frogs of all shapes, sizes, colours and designs. \u00a0I have owned a Cambridge Rose Lady at one time, and now just these two pieces which I use. There are devotees to flower<\/p>\n

\"Flower\u00a0frogs. \u00a0Check this site out – The Flower Frog Gazette<\/a>. I know nothing about them at all. \u00a0I find this article interesting – Collecting Floral Frogs: David Spain.<\/a> \u00a0At first glance the frogs you see\u00a0in thrift shops or in vintage stores, appear the same. \u00a0But there are vast differences. \u00a0Even between these two. \u00a0They are very differently shaped and sized. \u00a0On one the holes are open. \u00a0On the other, the frog is cased – the water doesn’t flow through, and it has little feet. I passed up a green flower frog recently, and I am sorry I did. \u00a0It was a pretty colour. \u00a0But I can’t start collecting more things for no reason. \u00a0There are only so many vases of flowers that can be displayed at any one time.\u00a0\"Flower<\/a>These two frogs likely came with the matching vase\/vessel. \u00a0They are long gone, although one piece fits a pinwheel vessel that I have, and will show off soon.<\/p>\n
