\"\"<\/a>This is a very pretty, relatively small decanter. \u00a0I have eight (including two glass items) decanters hanging around. \u00a0No…they are not all full (only two of them are in actual use). \u00a0I bought this one in the U.S I think. \u00a0I am guessing that it is of a good age and wouldn’t surprise me to find that it is European. \u00a0I love the engraving on the stopper. \u00a0I’ve not seen that before. \u00a0The problem – when\u00a0washed, because of the very narrow neck, water dries in the bottle and then leaves<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0marks inside the bottle that are visible when empty. \u00a0I read somewhere that you should dry your decanters with a hair blower in order to avoid these marks. \u00a0I tried this, but almost burned my hands! \u00a0Took too long and didn’t work. \u00a0I guess I could fill it! \u00a0I don’t use this one as I don’t want the stopper to become damaged. \u00a0It is pristine to date. \u00a0I came across a reference to a book about \u00a0identifying old British decanters. \u00a0I may have to order to see if this one shows up. \u00a0There is something very James Bondish about pouring wine, or brandy, from a decanter.<\/p>\n
