\"pall-mall-glass-pitcher\"<\/a>I have posted other pieces of Pall Mall, but I’ve never owned a jug\/pitcher before.<\/p>\n

I have the very informative book – Pall Mall Glass by Hugo Wildblood. \u00a0Mr. Wildblood provides this quote from a reference of Andy McConnell of Miller’s Antiques:<\/p>\n

“The pattern was available in differing qualities in Britain and across the Empire between the wars. \u00a0It is now known that the high quality pieces are attributed to Kosta. \u00a0Wuidhart & Co was a British import Company for Orrefors, Kosta and Rorstrand Porcelain. \u00a0Th Kosta archives show a drawing of a cocktail glass with etched top bands and cut criss cross pattern to the base. \u00a0It is dated Okt 1940, for October 1940 and gives a pattern number of 7534W. \u00a0This set is identical to that drawing with the cut lower decoration.”<\/p>\n

Mr. Wildblood dates these pieces from the first half of the twentieth century with the pattern being reborn more recently with a design called Lady Hamilton. \u00a0This pattern doesn’t have the cuts. \u00a0Instead there is an etch to mimic the cuts. \u00a0These pieces are not nearly as attractive as the older pieces.<\/p>\n

There is something very attractive about Pall Mall. \u00a0Lots of interesting shapes. \u00a0This piece would make a great beer jug!<\/p>\n
