\"\"<\/a>I normally don’t fall for pink glass, and neither am I a big buyer of non-Elegant Depression glass. \u00a0But the design on this piece was pretty. \u00a0I have tried to show the centre although it is hard to see. \u00a0But it reminds me of a great, big snowflake and, despite my aversion for snow and winter, ( it is snowing and blustery as I type!), I liked the pattern!<\/p>\n

I didn’t know what it was, but my handy dandy Warman’s Depression Glass field guide had the pattern on page 57 (3rd edition). \u00a0According to Warman’s the manufacturing range listed was 1930-1936. \u00a0Colours produced included blue, Monax, pink and red. Limited production in Cremax and colour-trimmed Monax.<\/p>\n

This is the 12 inch salver.<\/p>\n

I don’t think that I have knowingly owned anything else by Macbeth-Evans of Charleroi, Pennsylvania. \u00a0And…..I didn’t know where Charleroi is.<\/p>\n

According to Wikipedia<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“Charleroi<\/b> (\/\u02c8<\/span>\u0283<\/span>\u0254\u02d0<\/span>l<\/span>\u0259r<\/span>\u0254\u026a<\/span>\/<\/a><\/span><\/span> shaw<\/span><\/b>-l\u0259-roy<\/i><\/a><\/span>) is a borough<\/a> in Washington County<\/a>, Pennsylvania<\/a>, along the Monongahela River<\/a>, 21 miles south of Pittsburgh<\/a>.[<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Charleroi was settled in 1890 and incorporated in 1891.[2]<\/a><\/sup> The 2010 census recorded a population of 4,120.”<\/p>\n
