{"id":5213,"date":"2019-08-25T08:16:56","date_gmt":"2019-08-25T12:16:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?p=5213"},"modified":"2019-08-25T08:16:56","modified_gmt":"2019-08-25T12:16:56","slug":"imperial-glass-line-160-cape-cod-relish-with-silver-overlay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?p=5213","title":{"rendered":"Imperial Glass Line 160 &#8211; Cape Cod Relish with Silver Overlay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?attachment_id=5212\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5212\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-5212\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Imperial-GLass-Cape-Cod-RElish-1-842x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"643\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Imperial-GLass-Cape-Cod-RElish-1-842x1024.jpg 842w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Imperial-GLass-Cape-Cod-RElish-1-247x300.jpg 247w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Imperial-GLass-Cape-Cod-RElish-1-768x934.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 529px) 100vw, 529px\" \/><\/a>I went to an auction at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theauctionadvertiser.com\/MMacGregor\/\"> McGregors<\/a> recently and picked up a few lots.\u00a0 I had seen this relish dish a number of times and always thought &#8220;Meh!&#8221;\u00a0 But the silver overlay caught my eye.\u00a0 I like oak trees and as a kid thought that finding an acorn was something to be celebrated.\u00a0 Mostly maples near my childhood home.<\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t figure out who had made it so I turned to the Facebook group &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/VintageGlassIdentification\/\">Vintage Glass Identification<\/a> for help.\u00a0 This is a great group of folks and I very often get an ID when I am stumped.\u00a0 I had the answer very quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Collectors Weekly had a little bit of information on this line in the article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.collectorsweekly.com\/glassware\/imperial-glass\">Vintage Imperial Glass<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Around the same time as the introduction of Candlewick, Imperial began producing\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 a line that would become almost as successful\u2014Cape Cod.
