The hand painted decoration was created by Abels, Wasserberg and Company (AWC) and is part of their Charleton line. The decoration is called Roses and Bows (I think).<\/p>\n<p>Learning about AWC was new for me.\u00a0 I always thought that the company itself was called Charleton.\u00a0 I see that there are a couple reference books about the company, but I don&#8217;t collect enough examples of their work to buy a text.<\/p>\n<p>The hand painted details and the gilt are still in amazing shape.<a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?attachment_id=5365\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5365\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-5365\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_20200315_095954-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"397\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_20200315_095954-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_20200315_095954-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_20200315_095954-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_20200315_095954-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_20200315_095954-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 529px) 100vw, 529px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The AWC label is present on the bottom on the piece.
