\"\"<\/a>I picked up this little piece awhile back thinking it had the Hughes’ Corn Flower cutting on it.\u00a0 Goes to show what I know.<\/p>\n

I reached out to a local lady who IS knowledgeable to ask her about the blank.\u00a0 While she didn’t know the blank she did know that this piece was not Corn Flower but instead had a cutting called Dream Flower.<\/p>\n

A recommendation from the Corn Flower Glass Collecting Facebook Group<\/a> led me to make an inquiry of the Museum of Dufferin<\/a>.\u00a0 The Museum holds the world’s largest public collection of W. J. Hughes Corn Flower Glass.<\/p>\n

The curator very kindly sent me some information about the Dream Flower line, verifying that is considered ‘fake Corn Flower’.<\/p>\n

The line was produced by George Zimmer Limited of Toronto sometime during the 1950s-1970s.<\/p>\n

A hint to the cutting are the spotting lines which stick out past the flowers.<\/p>\n

Very interesting.\u00a0 I still don’t know who made the blank though!<\/p>\n
