Update to &#8211; Saint Louis Cleo ? or Bohemia Queen&#8217;s Lace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?attachment_id=4668\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4668\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4668\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/029-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"118\" height=\"118\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A smaller version. \u00a0I am going with the Etoile ID.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>2015<\/p>\n<p>Finally after three years someone out in cyberspace has corrected an ID for me.\u00a0 Love it.\u00a0 That&#8217;s why I started this blog in the first place.\u00a0 The gold rim glass is confirmed by someone whose sister collects this pattern, as Bohemia Etoile.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years I have had a number of pieces with the gold rim and the etch and knew that I had never confirmed the blank.\u00a0 It is great to have this corrected and identified.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know if the small glasses below are part of this pattern however.\u00a0 There is no gold rim and Replacements doesn&#8217;t include this shape in its listing of Etoile.<\/p>\n<p>Also, I think these pieces are older.\u00a0 The glass is much thinner and if I recall, as I haven&#8217;t seen them for awhile, I think the etch is finer.<\/p>\n<p>Lotus\/Glastonbury has a very similar etch called Garland #1001 and\u00a0 the St. Louis Cleo etch is also very similar.\u00a0 All about the shape\/blank in the end, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>Intriguing.\u00a0 Thanks to the person who had identified the Etoile pattern however.<\/p>\n<p>______________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>Original post &#8211; May 31, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>I have to update this prior posting with a new photo. <a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1440\" title=\"001\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/001-193x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"193\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/001-193x300.jpg 193w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/001-661x1024.jpg 661w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/001.jpg 1635w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 193px) 100vw, 193px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0You&#8217;ll notice that the etch is the same, but larger, <a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/0061.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1441\" title=\"006\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/0061-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>not as detailed, and the rim is gold. \u00a0The Queen&#8217;s Lace has the gold encrusted pattern, so I still don&#8217;t know what this is. \u00a0I have these two snifters, and a couple other pieces, yet to be shown.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This etch is a bit of a mystery. \u00a0I bought 8 of these little glasses in town here. \u00a0The seller, Marie from Under the Toadstool, said that they had belonged to her mom, but she didn&#8217;t know anything about them. \u00a0 They are very small ( 3 1\/2 in with a 2 1\/8 inch opening) and don&#8217;t have the shape that I&#8217;d associate with <a href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/035.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-664\" title=\"035\" src=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/035-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/035-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/035-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>a liqueur or cordial glass. \u00a0I think of those glasses being more cylindrical, these have a slight flare, if that&#8217;s the correct word. \u00a0I have this etch on two water goblets and a decanter. \u00a0I have seen it identified as Bohemia Crystal&#8217;s Queen&#8217;s Lace etch and as St. (Saint) Louis Massenet. \u00a0However the Bohemia pattern is always shown with a particular stem and the St. Louis pattern has the etch encrusted with gold. \u00a0My other pieces have a stem I&#8217;ve not seen with this pattern, and gold along the rim, but not in the etch. \u00a0No markings on anything. \u00a0The glass is very thin. \u00a0They look old.<\/p>\n<p>I have a question into a European company to see if they can shed any light on this etch. \u00a0As usual&#8230;.if anyone can shed any light on this mystery&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0;float:none;height:100px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/grannysglasses.com\/?p=835\" send=\"true\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A smaller version. \u00a0I am going with the Etoile ID. &nbsp;
