\"\"<\/a>This weekend my guy and I took a trip to the Kitchener\/Waterloo area. \u00a0We made lots of thrift and antique shop stops. \u00a0I bought a few things but nothing new. \u00a0Just additions to patterns that I already have.<\/span><\/p>\n

I did acquire a number of new books about glass, including one on Canadian glass.\u00a0 I’m looking forward to rambling my way through these new tomes.<\/span><\/p>\n

My guy was taken with the colours of this candy dish. \u00a0Originally it had lots more red. The finial was red as well as more of the lid. But it still has a pretty pink wash on it and it glow nicely in the sunshine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Update – April 10th!!!!! \u00a0I was playing around on ebay and saw this item. \u00a0The seller identified it, and I verified it at replacements.com, as Jeannette’s Grape & Vine pattern. \u00a0It IS a footed candy dish. \u00a0One mystery solved – very pleasing.<\/p>\n

Buying this lidded jar\/bowl taught me a valuable lesson. \u00a0I picked it up at a thrift shop (where else?) \u00a0It is a cute little thing and sits on a windowsill with some china ducks that I have. \u00a0I don’t know a thing about it. \u00a0It is dimpled with leaf and grape decorations. \u00a0The finial is a cluster of grapes.<\/p>\n

I don’t know how old it is. \u00a0When I pulled the price tag off of the bottom, some of the green peeled away with it. \u00a0I don’t know if this is foil, paint or what. \u00a0I haven’t been able to find any information that would inform me.<\/p>\n

What I’ve learned is to soak price tags before peeling them off! \u00a0There are other patches where the colour has been worn, or washed away.<\/p>\n

I came across a vase in Lindsay that closely resembled this piece. \u00a0Dimpled, green with same decorations. \u00a0It was marked with the Anchor Hocking mark. \u00a0But I can’t find any markings on this item. \u00a0If anyone has any information about this little bowl, as usual, I’d be grateful.<\/p>\n
