I buy glasses, then I buy new storage cabinets or shelving, then I put them into these storage units and then I forget where I got them.  I have four of these wine stems.  I love the stem itself.  These are needle etched and likely fairly old.  I have seen the same on ebay, unidentified, but they were too expensive to try and acquire.  I like having sets of eight so that you can gift a nice number.   There are alot of needle etched looped patterns, all just slightly different.  Classy glasses.

This is a neat little stem (yet another dessert/sherbert).  I’ve looked and looked for this image, with no luck.  It has a very fine thistle etch.  There are a number of thistle etches, but this poor glass may just be a number.  This is an appealing stem.  Has a pretty shape, the rim has a ripple and it has a pretty ring.  Another ‘masculine’ etch.

It doesn’t matter what your obsession is, I don’t think you ever stop trying to learn about ‘it’, and to add to your collection of ‘it’.  Yesterday I bought 10 new glasses online.  They will end up at my mother’s house, and I won’t see them for awhile.  Six of the pieces are Heisey’s Pied Piper water glasses.  I don’t have any of these pieces and came across them by accident.  They look pretty cool.  However I have fallen in love with Heisey’s Belvedere.  What a beautiful etch and stem.  They are more costly than my normal purchase.  But…………..I’m betting myself a quarter, nonetheless, that I will own some piece(s) before the summer (likely even before the spring!!!!!)
