Czechoslovakia, Pinwheel

My partner, in life, and collecting (although he’d deny it) picked this little stem up at a yard sale.  The lady who sold it said that it had belonged to her father.

I don’t know anything about the piece.  I am guessing, by the colour, that it is Czech or Bohemia Crystal.

It’s a small stem – likely a cordial, or liqueur glass.  I like the colour – I rarely purchase coloured stems, although I don’t know why.  Likely because they are generally more expensive.

Anyway nice thought from my guy.

Floral, Plate Etched

I picked up three of these tumblers in the U.S. during our trip to Tennessee.  I had never seen these in the flesh, per say, before.  Normally I wouldn’t buy three of anything, but they were pretty and inexpensive.

I think this is an etch that is easy to find, if it appeals.

Hard to photograph the entire glass but I wanted to show the full etch.

Floral

I picked up a number of Milk glass pieces at a Salvation Army in the U.S.  I’ve seen this compote online, but I’ve not identified it.  It’s a pretty thing.  The edge of the base is a translucent blue.  Hard to photograph.

I don’t know why I pick up milk glass – it’s really not a favourite.  But is IS cheap I guess.
