Lookie, lookie, lookie.  Isn’t this spectacular?  Two Leos live in this household, so we appreciate the majestic lion.

I’ve recently bought a pair of Westmoreland lovebirds on a nest and have been trolling through Westmoreland (or alleged Westmoreland) pieces online.

During a recent trip to Cobourg I saw this pretty piece.  The store owner thinks that it is a reproduction.  There are strange scuff marks on the bottom, as if someone tried to erase ID marks.  Nonetheless I had to have it anyway as the colour is so pretty.

I want to determine its provenance, so nothing would do but to order a Westmoreland reference book!  I use Abebooks to buy my used books.  My experience is that this site provides very reasonably priced books.

Anyway, in a couple of weeks I might know something more definite.  I will update if I find anything out.
