Barware, Tumbler, Whiskey Glass

Hazel Atlas Gay Nineties whiskey (4)Isn’t this a fun little glass?  It is part of a Hazel Atlas cocktail set called “Gay Nineties”.  It came with 6 inch highball tumblers, a 13 1/4 inch metal tray, a 10 inch cocktail shaker and the whiskey Hazel Atlas Gay Nineties whiskey (2)glasses.

I like all the folks painted on the glass.  They look like they are having lots of fun!Hazel Atlas Gay Nineties whiskey (1)

Bryce # 325-4 (3)I am pretty sure that I have owned this stem with some other decoration.  In any event I recognized it as Bryce when I saw these in the Pick n Save (if that’s the correct name) in Luray, Virginia.

I have subsequently found the pattern on Replacements.com, but they have not provided any information other than they are calling the etch/cutting pattern #325-4. Bryce # 325-4

I wonder if the tumbler is also part of the #325 line.  I looked through all the Bryce shapes at the Elegant and Everyday Glass Forum, and through Replacements, but didn’t find the exact tumbler.  I’ve posted the query, but no response yet.

Older pieces, early twentieth century I am guessing.

Needle Etch, Tumbler

Unknown Curly EtchI came across this little glass recently.  The etch is exactly the same as the tumblers below.  This is a teensy l’il thing – cordial or some dainty drink!Unknown Curly Etch (2)

Still no idea who made these stems, but they sure are interesting.

011I was so surprised to see these two tumblers!  I have this etch on a open champagne glass.  The etches look so similar.  I’ve never been able to identify the champagne saucer, so it is unlikely that the tumblers will be of any help.

The glass is thin and fragile.  Hard to believe that they have survived this long.  I bet they are 60-70 years old!
