Amber Glass, Candle Holder, Coloured Glass, Pressed Glass

Amber Candle HolderI bought this in the U.S. last weekend at a thrift shop.  It was shelved alongside two amber candle stick holders that look like a button and daisy pattern.  Thought it was the same, but it is not.

Pretty.  I think it’s a candle holder – large ring in middle to steady a large round candle.

I haven’t been able to ID it, but I am hoping that it doesn’t prove to be too difficult.

Floral, Pressed Glass

Although this was a recent purchase, I still can’t recall where I got them.  I think it was on our ramble last week through thrift shops in Oshawa.  I picked up 4 or 6 of these glasses.  I don’t really know if they are even old, or pressed, but the stem interested me.

I am guessing that they are sherberts or champagnes.  I think ice cream would be great in these bowls.  They are a good 3 6/8 inches wide.

The rim is quite sharp and the ring tone is very pretty.  I’m going to have to get the books out on these ones!

Pitcher, Pressed Glass

My partner picked this heavy pitcher up along his travels.  It’s pretty, but I know nothing about it.  I’m terrible with pressed patterns.

I have tried to show its different angles in order to highlight the patterns.

I’m not sure what it would have been used for as it is not a ‘full-sized’ pitcher. I’ll have to put my librarian hat on and investigate.
