I really do not know one single thing about pressed glass and this is something that I do not collect. I do want to buy a Canadian spooner some day, but need to do some research about the various companies before spending any money. I bought this stem where else?, at a Thrift shop. I really don’t know if it is pressed or cut…and I suspect that it isn’t particularly old. But it’s pretty. The bowl is too shallow to use as a vase. Likely intended for sherry. I have it sitting in my office window here so that the sun, if it ever shines!!!!!, can shine through it. My sill is littered with a beautifully cut biscuit barrel, a red, engraved rose bowl, a Danesi Company chalkware Humpty Dumpty bank (so ugly it’s sweet), a candle and some sand dollars. It sounds like I have alot of stuff, and I do, but I like to be surrounded by my treasures. I swore off the minimalist look, years ago! I found this FAQ on pressed glass – http://www.pressedintime.com/whatis.htm. It is very useful.
