Spread the love

This stem is quite small – about 9.5 cm. tall with a 6.5 cm. opening.  I imagine that it was intended to be used for sherry, or something like that.  I picked it up at the Brighton Estate Auctions’ yard sale for $1.00-$2.00.  I’ve never seen anything like it.  I can’t tell if the etch is of corn, or feathers, or perhaps just a stylized etch of nothing.  My guess is feathers.  I like the shape of the bowl.  It’s hard to tell from the photo, but it has a bit of a flare at the top.  I don’t even know where to start to identify this stem.  If anyone knows…..please share.
