Most summers my guy and I take a road trip. Today we start our annual trek. Off to Ottawa for Canada Day and then to Quebec City and a couple more stops before we head to Boston for a few days.
Lots of antiquing en route. I will be looking for things that I don’t need for sure! I am taking my ipad, so might update the blog with our glass adventures.
In the meantime – Happy Canada Day Eve to all you Canadians!

Found out today that this is a double crimped 3 inch vase and the colour is Colonial Green

I have had a few of these mini vases in various colours and finishes. I was pleased when one of my daughters asked to have a blue with opalescence piece.
My guy is away for a weekend hockey tournament so I thought I’d visit some thrift shops.
Even though I have, and may still own this piece, for a small investment I thought it worth picking up in this colour.

I was putting this up for sale on my Etsy shop and wondered if I had posted this here. Although I’ve posted other pieces of Corn Flower, these pieces had not made the big time! Now they have!
I have had these for awhile and have no recollection where I got them. They are quite pretty. the scalloping around the rim and the ornate handles elevate them from the ordinary (like my other creamer).
I’ve gone through my one reference book to see if I could identify the blank. After all Heisey, Tiffin, Imperial, New Martinsville and others made the glass for the Hughes Company. But I didn’t see this shape in my text.
You see lots of Corn Flower in this neck of the woods because its Canadian, but I’ve not noticed these pieces before or since I bought them.
