Center Handle Server, Colored Glass, Coloured Glass, Dianthus, Peach Blo, Pink Glass

My love affair with center handle servers lives on.  I have an alarming number of these pieces and rarely, rarely use them.  They are a pain to store as you can’t stack them.  But…..this piece was too pretty to pass by.

I don’t know its age so am unsure if it is Peach-Blo or Dianthus Pink.  My only definite piece of Peach-Blo isn’t as ‘pink’ as this piece, it’s more peachy.  I will have to get off my lazy posterior and find an age for this server.

Candle Holder, Candleholder, Candlestick Holder, Coloured Glass, Green Glass

I can’t recall where I picked this candlestick up.  The colour is what caught my eye.  It is a pretty, deep green.  Not emerald, not lime, but some bright shade in between.

When I first bought it I only had one candlestick reference book.  But I was inspired to add to my single collection and have since acquired four others.  I highly recommend the 3 volumes of the ‘Glass Candlestick Book’ series by Tom Felt, and Elaine and Rich Stoer.

I find it challenging to identify these columnar candlesticks.  There are so many variations.  In fact in the Felt et al. book lookalikes for this piece are identified as having been made by Heisey, Lancaster and Westmoreland.

However I have been am confident that this is Jeannette Glass and was part of their console set #26-97.

Depression Glass, Pink Glass, Tumblers

Sometimes glass identification is just a case of serendipity.  I picked up these two tumblers awhile back and had no luck identifying them.  I do not have alot of Depression glass resources, but turned to Warman and couldn’t find the pattern.

One day I was looking at something online and thought, “Hmmmm….this looks familiar!”  Luckily the tumblers were on a shelf right above my head, as opposed to being packed away and sure enough they were the same.  Pulled out my Warman again and sure enough there they were.

The pattern is called Royal Lace and is comprised of delicate flowers and medallions.

This is a piece of Depression era glass, with a manufacturing date range of 1934 – 1941.
