Over the years I have collected personal treasures for myself and my children and stored them in big plastic totes.

I have been trying to clean up my own totes – give away some items, trash others, etc.  I came across this glass owl recently.

I cannot recall who gave this to me and/or when I received it.  Years ago , as in 40 – yikes! – I was a brownie leader.  At first I was a “Snowy Owl”, then I earned my “Tawny Owl” designation.  In fact I recently gave my pin to my daughter who is a guide leader.  Anyway……..I started receiving lots of ‘owl-themed’ gifts.  Candles, jewelery, macrame, etc. etc.  I think this is likely a recent gift, but this is the only reason I think I have this.  Or……maybe it’s been in my tote for awhile.

In any event, it is an Avon powder container called Snow Owl.  Piercing blue eyes!
