Tiffin Green Bowl – Rosemary Etch

Tiffin Rosemary (1)This seven inch bowl is a pretty green.  It is vaseline glass, and glows quite brilliantly under black light.  Of course, who has black light in their house all the time?

The plate etch showcases some large flowers.

The Elegant and Everyday Glass Forum has a photo of a pink bowl with this etch and refers to it as line 310-1/2.  The legs on this piece are different so I don’t know if it is the same line.Tiffin Rosemary (2)

The green is very pretty.

IMG_5227As much as I like the floral plate etches of the great glass companies, this etch, Chintz #338, has never been a favourite.  Don’t really know why.

The line – Baroque – easily identifiable by the signature fleur de lis – was produced in many pieces  from 1937-1958.

Spike Powder Jar (2)Powder jars have come and gone from my household.  But Spike has hung around for awhile now.  Don’t know if it is the “cheery” 🙁 look on his face, or the pretty green colour.

This is a smaller jar with a width of 4 1/2 inches.  But…it is a solid 5 inches tall to the top of Spike’s head.

There is another L.E. Smith dog powder jar with the bulldog sitting, but I like this guy.
