One of my three favourite kids (I have three all together) lives far away in British Columbia. She has moved from university, to a number of different towns/cities and apartments over the past three years. Boxes get unpacked, or not. Recently we were chatting about her next move and her unpacked boxes. I asked her if she needed any wine glasses. She has what I last sent her and some odds and sods. Well! We can’t have that.
I did think of sending her some really nice ones, but decided that while she is appreciative, she is still only 24, as are her pals. So……I went out to a nearby Value Village and bought seven of these stems ($2.99 each). They are unsigned and I haven’t had any luck identifying them. There are just way too many cut patterns and they look so similar.
Plus..you never see a complete inventory in any reference book or website. They are quite bright, I imagine they have a decent lead content, with a pretty ring. I like the substance and shape of the stem. I don’t imagine that they are old – maybe 1980s. If someone can tell me – I’d be grateful. Now to get them wrapped properly and into a box!
