My mother loves glass images of swans and has a collection of a number of very pretty items.  This one (posted some time ago) is my unidentified  favourite.  The photo doesn’t do it justice.

Unfortunately it took a fall and a wing broke off.  My mom repaired it and it displays beautifully.

I have added to her collection on and off over the years.  This weekend we were visiting her and I took this Westmoreland piece.  I wondered if she would accept it as she has sworn, many times, that she is DONE, DONE, DONE, collecting swans.

Alas…it did not make the trip home with us and I assume has been allocated a space.

It is a pretty little item – three swan heads decorate its sides.

Kovar’s Westmoreland Glass: 1950-1984 assigns the use and indicates that this piece was made in many colours.

She also identifies that this was also reproduced in milk glass, along with other colours.   Nonetheless I am going to assume it is Westmoreland, despite a lack of mark.
