Anchor Hocking Royal Ruby CupsPosted these and shortly thereafter found myself in a thrift shop picking up the cups.  No saucers though.  I’ll have to keep my eyes open for those!

Anchor Hocking RUby Red Sherberts (2)I love the richness of the colour of these pieces.  I have a number of pieces of coloured glass on display in my living room.  The dark greens, red and blues add a great deal of vibrancy to my room.

Alas these pieces are closed up in a kitchen cabinet.  There’s only so much glass that I can have out on surfaces!!!!!Anchor Hocking Ruby Red Bowl (2)

These pieces are fairly easily found I think.  A vegetable bowl, flat nine ounce tumblers, and flat sherberts.  I like the sherberts in particular as they are a nice dessert sized and not too delicate to be easily broken.

Likely made in the 1950s/1960s.

More Fry – Water Goblets

056I was getting ready to post this water goblet and thought I’d add to any earlier Fry postings.  I wonder if I still have these sherberts.  I have a big TV cabinet with a recessed top and tend to store sherberts up there (where they can get nice and dusty!)  I’ll have to look.

Anyway, same etch DE (Deep Etch) 107.  I have found out that the blank is Fry’s line #5119.  Can’t recall where I bought these two pieces.  But I still have the dog with steak thing going on when I see this pattern!

p.s.  The yellow Lucite necklace now belongs to one of my daughters!

We took a beautiful drive up to Port Perry yesterday.  There are two great vintage consignment stores on the main drag.  At the first I bought a pretty yellow Lucite necklace.  At the second, I added to my collection of sherberts.  Got four (one with chips) for $10.00.  I snatched them off the shelf like a dog going for a steak.  I knew I already owned some DE 107, but couldn’t recall the blank.  Wouldn’t have mattered, I would have bought them anyway!

I’ve shown this pattern in another stem.  Saw this recently in Oshawa.  I was sorry that I sold the earlier stems and jumped at the chance to buy this.  You don’t see Fry stems kicking around very often.

These pieces were produced in 1917.    I call it a low sherbert, but replacements.com has a different stem that they call the low sherbert.

The optic is wide and called a ‘rib’ optic.

Pretty.

222Isn’t this a gorgeous glass?  The beautiful deep green grabs your attention, but the pretty stem and foot hold it.

These are the Colonial Dame high sherberts/champagnes.  The pattern comes in a number of stems and was likely produced between 1948-1964.

I bought 10 (2 are chipped) on our travels to Massachusetts at the Cambridge Antique Market.  This a large (5 story) shop with something for everyone!

I love these deep colours.  I have a sneaking suspicion that I am going to have to acquire some stems in a beautiful deep cobalt.  I looked at 3 goblets by Cambridge at this shop.  Decided I wanted four and didn’t want the hassle of looking for another.  But…..one of my regrets.  I wish I had bought the three!  My guy says, “Maybe they’ll be there the next time we visit”.  I thought…well, if they are still there in 2 years or so, they will likely be cheaper!
