Indiana Glass Wild RoseI think I have mentioned that my wonderful eldest child decided to use white and blue Pyrex dishes that I bought her awhile back as her ‘set’.  So she put the call out for white side pieces.  I was so happy to have a purpose for purchasing!

I picked up the milkglass Lily Pons bowl I posted awhile back, and these two bowls, also from Indiana Glass.  The pattern is called Wild Rose.  According to the wonderful Indiana Glass/Carnival Heaven site, this pattern was also called Wild Rose and Leaves and Gloria Anne.

It’s hard to tell from the photos, but the bottom centre of the large bowl is almost transluscent.Indiana Glass Wild Rose (2)

According to Replacements, the small bowl is a ‘fruit cocktail’.  I thought that it might have been an individual nut bowl.

In any event….does the child want any of them?  No.

Goblets, Indiana, Sherberts

199I’ve already shown off a couple compotes, and some tumblers that I’ve acquired in this pattern. During our travels we saw lots of pieces in this pattern.

Even though it is called by several names –  King’s Crown, Crown, Thumbprint, Early American Crown and Thumbprint, I like King’s Crown.  Don’t know why…..perhaps the ‘regalness’ makes them sound so hoity toity!212

These were all, 20 pieces worth, thrift shop purchases. Goblets and sherberts.
