Isn’t this cute? We bought this a couple summers ago when visiting my mom in Fort Erie.
The most difficult task was to find a decent lamp shade with the piece that fits onto the bulb. You can find them, but generally they are not in the greatest shape.
I bought this shade recently at a thrift shop. It was the right shape and colour, but it was soiled. I decided to throw it into the clothes washer on the delicate setting. If I had a dishwasher I would definitely have used that.
In any event, the trim along the edges came out a little worn, but it cleaned right up.
I don’t know how old this lamp is and whether it fits the definition of milk glass…but I think this is cute. I like the way it looks against the blue wall of my home office.
