Well, we are home after a 2800 kilometer jaunt around Ottawa, Quebec City, Towns in Maine, Boston and points between there and home.
My guy is a patient soul (occasionally). We stopped at many, many thrift shops, antique shops and malls, consignment stores and yard sales. I didn’t buy as many things as I thought I would, and I didn’t buy any one special item, but nonetheless I did come home with a few things. Oddly enough most of them came from thrift shops. I found the antique stores a wee costly and I didn’t find much in the way of treasures that I HAD to have.
It’s interesting travelling. Every time we go on a road trip I seem to see some pattern on a regular basis. This time is was Cambridge’s Rosepoint. I saw lots of pieces of Rosepoint in every shape and size. The stems were costly, although the serving pieces were reasonable. Rosepoint isn’t a favourite, so I was able to resist.
I did go to this fab shop in Cambridge, Mass. There were 3 cobalt Cambridge stems in this store (which was great). They were absolutely gorgeous. I didn’t buy as I wanted to buy four. Now I am sorry. Likely I could eventually find one more. Oh well.
Anyway….here’s a fun piece. Marked with Imperial’s <IG> signature it is a milk glass rooster egg cup. Cute little piece. I have to wonder what kind of eggs fit into this cup. My chicken eggs don’t fit. Must be for goose eggs!
