I’ve sold a few of my hens so my wee collection is smaller.  But I have most of them, and my Gillinder (or repro Gillinder) lion, front and centre in my living room.

I have used them recently as serving dishes when I am entertaining.  It’s like anything – I wonder whose table they have graced in the past.

I think these are very old fashioned.  My kids turn their noses up at the thought of owning one, although my daughter tried to encourage me to buy another on the weekend!  No more hens said I.

The do look pretty in the sunlight.
