Pretty, although I do like Tiffin’s ‘pink’.

Funny to read this two+ year old post. Those glasses have long been sold, although I still have the Cherokee Rose pieces, except that I have eight or nine I think.
But…I still do like the Heisey pieces. Have something cool coming in the mail soon – a rooster cocktail shaker. Looking forward to seeing it.

he Frontenac etch is Etch #440.
I ordered these online as I wanted to see the Green Moongleam stem and base. I don’t have any pieces of Heisey in any of their colours. Very pretty, although the pieces arrived with a little more damage than the seller reported. I think I’m fussy when I am buying or selling with regard to damage, even minor. I report all in my listings.
Nonetheless the shade is pretty, as is the name.

This plate etch is called Frontenac and the stem/blank/shape is called Wabash. The patent for this glass was filed in December of 1922 by Joseph O. Balda on behalf of A.H. Heisey & Co. of Newark, Ohio. The patent was granted in February of 1924. The glasses were produced from 1922-42. I have four water glasses that I bought online. They are very beautiful and the stem is gorgeous. I have a hankering for Heisey pieces. I am looking for more of these stems and have my eyes on some ebay offerings. I just bought four Tiffin Cherokee Rose waters though (now I have eight) and I’ll have to see what the budget can bear!
I picked up three of these stems, in an auction lot I think. I knew I had seen them online and it wasn’t too hard to identify them.
