Spread the love

My long suffering spouse and I made a trip to Waterloo this past week.  I stopped into one of my favourite antique stores – St. Jacob’s Antiques Market –  and was surprised to find a set of six of these beautiful tumblers.

I recognized the Balda etch – #410 and knew that these were made by Central Glass Works of Wheeling, West Virginia.

My handy dandy book – Cetnral Glass Works: the Depression Era by Tim Schmidt provided the line #1428.  According to Schmidt this line was produced in the late 1920s/early 1930s.

The colour is refered to an ‘orchid tints’.

Lovely set of eight ounce tumblers.
