I bought five or six of these shrimp cocktail stems at a local Value Village.  I don’t have the liners – the store wouldn’t let me buy them from another set!  Anyway who puts their shrimp in liners and then fills the glass with ice!  I’m not that fancy and certainly no one who would feed me shrimp is that fancy.  We are lucky to get the shrimp off the plastic ring!  I have seen this engraving a number of times.  I imagine that someone knows the name, although that someone isn’t me.  I have used these stems for brandy, when I was temporarily short of snifters.  Likely a brandy connoisseur would shudder.  The brandy came via Cuba, so i am thinking it wasn’t the finest in any event.  I don’t imagine I will hang on to these.  They are pretty, but really not my thing.

I only have one of these stems.  Likely a claret or some such purpose.   I think my partner bought it for me.  If so, it was cheap!  Kind of a miracle as I had always thought he paid no attention to the bazillions of glasses that fill all corners of our house!  I’ve played around with the colour and contrast of the photos in order to show the detail of the etch.  Very intricate.  The cross thatching (for lack of a better word) reminds me of that of Fostoria’s Melrose, but it is not Melrose.  I also like the stem.
