I have a number of Morgantown etches. The stems I own have all been produced on the same blanks (same shape, same stem, same optic). I don’t have any Morgantown books so cannot date these stems, but what I have read seems to lead to an early twentieth century date. These glasses are not uncommon. I cannot remember where I got them. I don’t use them as I am not really fond of them (don’t know why as they are attractive). I think I like more deeply etched patterns, or a ‘finer’ crystal. It’s like any preference, sometimes hard to explain. The larger is the water goblet and the smaller is a cocktail or liquor or some other small glass purpose.

seen this engraving a number of times. I imagine that someone knows the name, although that someone isn’t me. I have used these stems for brandy, when I was temporarily short of snifters. Likely a brandy connoisseur would shudder. The brandy came via Cuba, so i am thinking it wasn’t the finest in any event. I don’t imagine I will hang on to these. They are pretty, but really not my thing.
