Etched Glass, Wreath

018I can’t remember where I acquired these pretty pieces – drawing an absolute blank, Came across them in a cupboard recently.

I have not seen the etch and the blank is also unfamiliar to me.  I have poste016d them to see if anyone else can recognize anything, but I don’t have high hopes.

It’s been awhile since I have added tot he “Unknown Etch Museum”…but here is a likely candidate.

I am not sure if they were intended to be wine glasses or a liquor cocktail perhaps.  I haven’t measured them but I guess they hold 3-4 ounces.

They have a pretty look with a medium-wide optic and detailing on the stem.   This sounds odd, but they have a nice weight when held.

Cut Crystal, Cut Glass, Wine Glass

Unknown Cut Engraved stemsI bought these (4) as part of a lot at a local auction.  I was hoping that I would find a mark to identify them, but no luck.Unknown Cut Engraved stems (4)

These pieces are very pretty.

They have engraving/etches (I never know the difference) and cuts.  The decorations extend from the bowl, down the stem and on to the base.

Unknown Cut Engraved stems (2)The glass is thin and there is a nice shape.

I would like to identify these pieces.  So…if anyone knows, please share!

Cordials, Needle Etch

Mary Lou's glass (posted)Some time ago I posted this stem that belongs to my pal Mary Lou from Thunder Bay.  It was the sole piece left from her deceased mom.

I have never had any luck identifying the piece.  The needle etch is not particularly remarkable in any way, nor is the blank/shape.  But of course she loves it and I would like to find additional pieces to give to her.

Now I like the needle etches, but of course cannot remember if I own them already, or if they look anything like this glass.Needle Etch on Cordial

I picked up two of these stems recently, thinking that they were a match to Mary Lou’s glass.  Of course they obviously are not!

Even if the blank was different, the etch is not similar, other than it is also a needle etch.

And….then I am trolling through photos and discover that I likely have this etch in a water goblet.  Can’t recall if the blank is the same.  Likely older pieces, but not for Mary Lou.  Additions to the unknown etch museum!
