The reference books are the greatest help. I picked up four of these stems in Waterloo this weekend. There were eight available, but only these were mint. I knew I had seen this pattern before, and sure enough, with the help of my handy dandy book – Florence’s Glassware Pattern Identification Guide, Volume III: Early Identification for Glassware from 1900 through the 1960’s – I found the pattern.
Florence (page 107) identifies the blank as #350, with an unidentified etch. The producer was Bryce, Higbee & Company and the production year was 1916. Six items were made in the crystal colour only.
This is a small stem with a pretty shape and etch. Likely for a sipping beverage of some sort.
