I was cleaning out my garage recently.  I unpacked a number of boxes, looking for a blue Fenton Hobnail vase.  Never found it – I may have sold it – but I did find other pieces I’d forgotten about.

I was very excited.  I have been looking to identify an etch for my pal Mary Lou.  When I saw this, I thought that it perhaps matched the etch on the sole remaining glass that belonged to her mom.

But if you look at the two, you can see that they are close, but no cigar!  I still don’t know the history of M Lou’s etch and I don’t know the provenance of mine either.  I bought it on one of our trips to Cape Cod for ninety nine cents.  Cool shape.  Sigh – so many unknown etches, so little time!
