Found the same etch in a different stem.  New one if forefront, old one in the back.  Had to bring it home to compare.  Looks like the same blank.  Still unknown.

I bought this little glass because I admired the intricate swirling needle etch.  I’ve seen photos of this etch a number of times and they have been attributed to different companies.  It is difficult to identify the provenance of the needle etches.  I know that they are generally older, although not always.  The craftsmanship is pretty amazing.
