Recently I was saying to my guy that I hadn’t bought any new pieces of glass for awhile. I figured that I was finally learning to budget properly, that I was losing my hoarding tendencies – that I was becoming a responsible, mature adult with a budget.
Alas…it’s been a bad week. I must have been at loose ends. I have purchased a few items – some new Heisey Minuet water goblets (5) to match the ONE I owned, as well as some new (old) cool stuff. Looking forward to seeing the new pieces.
But now I am moving into Christmas mode. There will not be any new acquisitions until the new year. Unless…..of course…..I have to buy some old new glass for others for Christmas. Ha ha – that won’t happen, although one of my daughters has recently told me that vintage jadeite kitchen ware is trendy with the younger crowd.
I’ll have to do some reading up on identifying reproductions and maybe have a wee Christmas look around.
