Fenton Bowl

Thought I’d posted this last week, but I hadn’t changed the date……………..

Update to this post, thnx to a comment made by Jason.

These bowls were made by Federal.  Don’t know why I didn’t check out some glass mark sites.  That would have been a relatively easy find I think.  Too lazy I guess!

But…….I’ve always wanted someone to ID something I’ve put on here and it has FINALLY happened.  Thank you Jason!

This is what the National Depression Glass Association has to say about Federal Glass patterns.

Thnx again J.!

I like to eat a small bit of yogurt most mornings and like little bowls so that I won’t be tempted to eat more than I need.  Of course the irony is that I would never even consider using a little bowl to hold my salt and vinegar chips!

This purchase was the very first, in a long history, of breakage while travelling.  I bought a set of four, but one broke on the way home.  Oh well.  Last night my guy went to an auction and came home with 6 new (old) small bowls.  There are only two of us in the house!

I tried to take a photo of the mark, but couldn’t pick it up.

The pieces are clearly marked with a Fenton “F” inside a shield and the words “Fire Proof”.  I assume that they are Fenton, but haven’t been able to find the mark anywhere.  These aren’t old pieces.
