This past weekend was a long weekend in Canada. One of my lovely daughters (and my grandbeagle) came to visit and we spent some time in Orono, where they were having an antique sidewalk sale.
I bought her a green tumbler with a thumbprint pressed pattern. What was I thinking???? I didn’t get a photo of it! I will have to ask her for one.
I actually didn’t buy one thing, surprisingly. There was a beautiful pitcher with a pheasant etch….but it was damaged and I decided that I would ultimately be unhappy with the damage.
But in our travels I picked up this piece at a church thrift shop. I have no idea if it is old. It is fragile, the glass is thin. I was taken with the vibrant colour and the swirl pattern. The photo doesn’t do the piece justice as you can’t see the variation in colour. It is yellow with a lime tint.
Interesting!
