I had a number of these pieces a few years ago, but they were sold before I started this blog.
I came across these online and decided to acquire them, to sell. I actually am not all that fond of the etch, or even the shape, myself.
I wish I knew more about the names of the lines or etches. Why Marjorie? Who was she? The etch is composed of dangling fuschia and foliage. Was this Marjorie’s favourite flower? Some books will tell you the origin of a name, but most often this isn’t the case.
I do like the medium to large optic however.

Marjorie was the name of the original presidents daughter. It’s why there are two lines of Cambridge glass with that name. A pressed pattern and an etched one.

Hi – Very interesting. Thank you. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to honour your children with something lasting like this? I appreciate the answer to my query. d.b.
