Funnily enough I saw two of these pieces, one with a dog, on the same day.  Never seen one before.  The dog piece was green.  Unfortunately the ears were chipped, or I would have picked it up.  I imagine that it was Vaseline glass.

This piece reminded me of the elephant powder jar that I used to have.  Same finial, but the jar was in green.

I am not a fan of smoking, but this piece was too cute to pass up.
